The Mufflerman Commercial 2005
From the company website:
John Brouwer, immigrated with his family from The Netherlands in the early 1950’s. In the early days, John had many jobs. He worked at the CNR Railroad, Purity Dairy, his own 7UP business in Lambton County, and at Cor Car Auto Sales in Sarnia selling, painting and repairing cars. The Mufflerman was a part of this business.
Destined to be an entrepreneur, in 1964, John purchased The Mufflerman name and moved it to a small, two-bay garage that would become Sarnia’s “First Exclusive Muffler Shop.” In 1967, he purchased property at 759 Exmouth Street and built a new, modern shop that The Mufflerman could call home.
He opened a second location in Stratford in 1971 and grew it to 12 company-owned and operated locations in Southwestern Ontario. Although his success as a businessman is evident today, John maintained a very down-to-earth approach to life. Lending a helping hand to people who needed it was something he truly enjoyed doing, and this eventually led him to start his own foundation, The John Brouwer Foundation.
In 1996 John retired, passing the business over to his four sons and nephew, who continuously maintained complete oversight of every aspect of the business to ensure our customers receive the best quality, the best service and advice you can trust. Quality, Service, and Trust (QST) are all concepts that John implemented and that our customers will experience every time they visit us at The Mufflerman.
As of March 2021, the company is under new management and is committed to carry forward the same core values and traditions that make The Mufflerman the best place to service your vehicle.
